ICW Eastern Africa is leading on a campaign that supports women living with HIV with skills and knowledge on the role that the national campaigning candidates have – MPs, President, Local councils – to provide access to health care services, information, resources, and women’s human rights such as freedom from violence.

Women living with HIV engage with the campaigning candidates to hold them accountable for the promises they make before and after the elections. Political leadership commitment is critical for reversing the HIV epidemic. This project started in 2010 and is a pilot we hope to replicate in other countries.
