The International Community of Women Living with HIV Eastern Africa (ICWEA) is recruiting for a new board member (1 position) to serve on its Board of Directors for the period ending August 2026.

The applicant should possess skills, experience and expertise in Human Resource Management/People Management, Policy Development and Implementation.

Selection/nomination criteria
All applicants must be:
• Women living with HIV in all their diversity including young women;
• Residents from 5 countries of Burundi, Kenya, Rwanda, Tanzania and Uganda;
• Must be members of ICWEA country chapters or recommended by the Country Chapters;
• Able to read and write; with minimum of a Bachelor’s Degree – and the preferred languages of communication – English, French for better and meaningful representation and contribution;
• All applicants should have experience in Corporate Governance e.g., being members of other boards, or having undertaken Corporate Governance as a training or course.
