Day 10/16: Disability and Violence

There is a close relationship between disability andViolence.  Women and girls living withdisabilities experience different forms if violence ranging from structural, institutional physical, sexual and gender-related and yet their experience of this violence often remains hidden and unaddressed due to the multiple barriersthey face.

 Violence against Women living with Disability has no place in the world in this 21stCentury. 

Call to Action on Governments

Declare an end to all forms of violence against women living with disability, identify and commit to instituting mechanisms to address Violence around a clear and coherent agenda, ensuring social cultural systems, laws and policies are preventing violence and influencing violence free systems and communities.
