ICWEA organised a reflection and planning meeting that brought together over 30 Women living with HIV and all members of ICW in Rwanda. They  composed of ICW leadership in Rwanda, the Core Group of Advocates and the membership with the overall aim of strategizing together on how to carry forward ICW programmes and activities in Rwanda. The meeting started with a reflection of what participants see as ICW Rwanda, what they like about it, what works best for them, what doesn’t work and how they would want to see the future of ICW in Rwanda.
The meeting  further defined and divided roles and responsibilities, identified a structure that will enable them to achieve and realise the future that they will have defined and this structure will include but not limited to contact person and their roles and responsibilities, defined the support needed from the secretariat, agreed on an accountability and reporting mechanism and finally came up with a concrete work plan with detailed and costed activities for implementation in the next 6 months.
